YOTQ Guest Artist Information ~ 2025
YOTQ guest artist info: 2025
I am so glad that you’re interested in potentially joining as a guest speaker with YOTQ! Here’s a little bit about us:
- we’re small, 10-12 members making quilts together
- we're entering our second year with a new group of 11 people
- we’re an international crew, with members living in different timezones
What does it mean to join a meeting at YOTQ?
We can tailor your talk to whatever we need it to be, but in general, YOTQ meetings are:
- 60 minutes long
- virtual via Zoom
- are more conversational than presentational (I usually act as a co-presenter with you to keep it conversational)
- happen on a monthly basis
-
I help members get ready for your visit all by offering different relevant resources and thoughtful questions tied to the topic you’ll be presenting on
Available dates:
- Sunday, May 18th
- Sunday, June 22nd
- Sunday, September 21st
- Sunday, October 5th
- Sunday, October 19th
What’s the compensation for joining a meeting at YOTQ?
It’s important to me that you feel like this is well worth your time. I know how much work can go into a single presentation!
- $250 USD for a 45-60-minute virtual workshop (along with sharing on social media and email)
What’s next?
I would love to get a few basics tacked down at this point of the process. All I’d need from you right now is:
- can you join us for a meeting this year?
- which month of the year could work for you? If you’d like to go ahead and pin down a specific date, we can do that. Otherwise we’ll touch base a 2-3 months before your workshop to schedule a date
