January: Squares & the Nine-Patch

Join Maura for an in-person workshop just outside Austin, Tx in January from 10 AM–1 PM. Learn the core skills of patchwork—accurate rotary cutting, ¼″ seams, chain piecing, and nesting corners—while working with simple squares and straight-grain fabric. You’ll complete your own Nine-Patch block and gain the confidence to repeat the steps for a full quilt. Beginner-friendly and designed to build a strong foundation in a supportive, hands-on environment. Seats are limited.

February: Half-Square Triangles

Join Maura for an in-person workshop just outside Austin, TX this February, from 10 AM–1 PM. Learn the fundamentals of Half-Square Triangles—two-at-a-time construction, accurate trimming, value contrast, and pressing for flat seams—while working with approachable fabrics and clear guidance. You’ll complete your own pinwheel block and gain the confidence to use HSTs in future quilt projects. Beginner-friendly and designed to build a strong foundation in a supportive, hands-on environment. Seats are limited.

March: Flying Geese

Learn the fundamentals of Flying Geese using the no-waste, four-at-a-time method, and explore block ratios, directional design, and pressing techniques for flat, precise seams. You’ll complete a block made from Flying Geese units and gain the confidence to use this versatile shape in future quilts. Beginner-friendly and designed to build a strong foundation in a supportive, hands-on environment. Seats are limited.
