Crosswinds
Crosswinds explores movement within structure. Turning pinwheel blocks sit within a quiet green grid, suggesting shifting air currents crossing an open landscape. Arrow motifs along the border echo direction and flow, guiding the eye across the surface like wind moving through a field.
The quilt is pieced from hand-dyed linen and cotton and carefully quilted by hand and machine. Rooted in traditional quilt language, the composition emphasizes rhythm, balance, and the subtle energy created when motion meets structure.
Natural variations in the hand-dyed fabric create gentle shifts in color across the surface. One-of-a-kind textile artwork.
A hanging sleeve can be attached to the back upon request, allowing the quilt to be easily displayed as a wall textile.
