Southern Migration Quilt

There's a feeling of relief with the first sighting of the Autumn cranes. The sweltering heat of Texas is finally tapering off. I stand looking up into the bright sky, squinting until it's too far away to make out the rippling arrow of the flock anymore.

This quilt was made with 100% linen naturally dyed with osage-wood (gold), and brazil-wood (soft red), and undyed white linen. 

Hand quilted with Japanese sashiko thread. Finished with a double binding in linen. The backside is a whole piece of hand dyed linen.

This is a smaller quilt that would be beautiful hung on a wall or used as an accent on a bed or couch.
